It's been an incredible few months at DNSense! We've been heads-down building features, squashing bugs, and polishing the experience. Here's a rundown of the most exciting changes.
Major features
Zonefile import/export
You can now import and export your DNS zones as standard zonefiles. Whether you're migrating from another provider or just want a backup, we've got you covered.
TLSA records support
For those running DANE (DNS-Based Authentication of Named Entities), we now fully support TLSA records. Secure your TLS certificates right from your DNS!
Inline record editing
No more modal popups for quick edits. You can now click directly on any record value and edit it inline. It's the little things that make DNS management feel smooth.
Bulk delete records
Need to clean house? Select multiple records and delete them all in one go. Finally.
Light & dark mode toggle
We heard you—dark mode isn't for everyone. You can now switch between light and dark mode with a single click. The light mode has been completely redesigned for those who prefer working in brighter environments.
SRV records support
SRV records are now supported across DirectAdmin, Openprovider, and Cloudflare connections. Service discovery just got easier.
Add multiple records at once
Stop adding records one by one. Our new multi-record form lets you batch add as many records as you need in a single action.
DirectAdmin improvements
We've poured a lot of love into our DirectAdmin integration:
- Sub-account support: Admin and reseller sub-accounts now work seamlessly
- Better error handling: Error messages from DA are now properly parsed and displayed
- Smart MX guidance: When adding MX records, we'll inform you about DA-specific requirements
- Default TTL handling: When TTL is disabled on DirectAdmin, we now automatically set a sensible 1-hour default
- API overhaul: The entire DA API class has been cleaned up and optimized for reliability
Time machine enhancements
- Search functionality: Quickly find changes in your DNS history
- Mutation logging for scheduler: See exactly what the scheduler changed and when
- Available in whitelabel environments: Time Machine is now part of all whitelabel deployments
